The series

What really happens after you arrive?

Cold Arrival follows Tunde, a Nigerian immigrant beginning a new chapter in Winnipeg. Along the way, he forms unlikely friendships with fellow newcomers carrying their own dreams, fears, and reasons for starting over.

Together they navigate employment, housing, cultural differences, language barriers, unexpected humour, and everyday immigrant life. They discover that building a new life is not something anyone should do alone.

More than a story about immigration, Cold Arrival is a story about friendship, resilience, identity, and hope.

Every immigrant has two journeys: the one that gets them to a new country, and the one that teaches them how to call it home.

Oluwatosin Ayilara is a Nigerian-Canadian filmmaker, creative director, producer, and entrepreneur based in Winnipeg. As Founder and Creative Director of Kreglex Productions, he creates compelling visual stories across film, television, commercial production, photography, and branded media.

Cold Arrival marks his debut scripted television series in Canada.
